Limited amount of flour allowed to enter blockaded Sheikh Maqsoud neighborhood of Holeb (Aleppo), Syria

HOLEB, Syria — After nearly a month of being blockaded by the Fourth Division of the Syrian Army, the Sheikh Maqsoud and Ashrafieh neighborhoods of Holeb (Aleppo), a limited amount of flour was allowed to enter Sheikh Maqsoud.

A source from Sheikh Maqsoud stated that the amount of flour amounted to about 32 tons, which is enough to produce bread for one day only, and the blockaded neighborhood’s seven bakeries will return to work and bread will be distributed to residents.

Throughout the blockade, the residents of Sheikh Maqsoud and Ashrafieh have traveled long distances and waited for many hours in front of the bakeries in Syrian regime-controlled areas in order to obtain bread.
