NORTH AND EAST SYRIA: Syrian Democratic Forces release report of attacks by the Turkish occupation army carried out in April

NORTH AND EAST SYRIA – The Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) released a report revealing the outcome of the Turkish occupation army’s attacks during the month of April on areas of the Democratic Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria. According to the SDF report, the crimes and attacks confirm the heinous intentions of the Turkish occupation army and it proxy militant groups, some espousing radical Islamic ideologies.

The SDF states that; “The Turkish occupation has accelerated his aggressions and attacks against the region in an attempt to occupy new areas, taking advantage of the international preoccupation with the new war in Ukraine to impose a new occupying reality.” Below is the full list of violations by Turkish occupation army and its proxy-militias during April, as stated in the SDF report. * The number of field attacks using heavy weapons: 595 shells of tank, artillery, and mortar.

* Air attacks using drones: 13 attacks

* Suicide drone attacks: 2

* Guided missile attacks: 3

* Sniper attacks: 19

* Other attacks using machine guns (DshK, PKS) 122 times

* Amount of bombs and explosives landed on the civilian homes and farms: 23 tons of explosives

* Damaged houses: 36 houses.

* Damaged civil Associations: 3 associations (electricity association, school, water association)

* The number of civilian martyrs: 2

* The number of military martyrs: 5

* The number of civilian injured: 23 civilians
