Syriac Union Party President Ibrahim Mrad discusses situation of Syriacs in Lebanon with Archbishop Daniel Gawriye

BEIRUT — The President of the Universal Syriac Union Party, Ibrahim Mrad, along with the party’s head of Internal Affairs, Joseph Hajjar, paid an Easter visit this Friday to the Archbishop of the Syriac Orthodox Archdiocese of Beirut, Daniel Gawriye. The three met at Saint Ephrem the Syriac Church in Sioufi-Ashrafieh.

Mrad and Hajjar offered their Easter wishes to the Archbishop and they discussed the general and dire political, economic and social situation in Lebanon. The situation of the Syriac Orthodox component in Lebanon and the challenges it faces were also specifically discussed.
