USUP President Mrad calls on Lebanese people to vote for Lebanese Forces candidates in parliamentary election

BEIRUT — With Lebanon’s parliamentary election quickly approaching, President of the Universal Syriac Union Party (USUP) Ibrahim Mrad called on the Lebanese people to vote for candidates of the Lebanese Forces party, such as independent candidate Layal Nehme who is running on the Lebanese Forces list.

“Vote for candidates of the Lebanese Forces party to ensure your freedom and dignity and preserve your identity, culture, history, and presence in your land,” Mrad stated via Facebook.

He also called on the Lebanese people not to sell their votes to Iranian-backed Hezbollah, which, Mrad claimed,  aims to flood Lebanon with corruption, change its demographics, subject it to Iranian tyranny, and plunder its resources.

Mrad added that the Hezbollah project is not new and that the USUP has been warning of the danger of Hezbollah project against Lebanon and its citizens.
