Izla Pizzeria opened in Arkah village in Turkey

ARKAH, TUR ABDIN, Turkey — On 3rd  June, Izla Pizzeria was opened in Arkah village in Turo d’Izlo. Local politicians, government officials, clerics, a large crowd of the residents and several people who came from Europe attended the opening event.

Gevriye Cil and Morris Dal are the owners of this new pizza restaurant, which was opened after 10 months of construction.

In comments to our news desk, Cil discussed the situation of the Suryoye people in Turkey and stressed the importance of their ongoing return to their homeland in Tur Abdin.

He also expressed his gratitude for the support provided for opening the restaurant and all the attendees. He talked about the role of Tur Abdin and Turo d’Izlo in history of Beth Nahrin (Mesopotamia).

Cil and Dal have lived in Germany for a long time before they returned to their home village of Arkah. They are planning to create more job opportunities at Turo d’Izlo to help the residents of the region.

Priest (Khuroyo) Semun Bagandi, from Delbrück/Germany, delivered a speech, in which he emphasised the return to the homeland in Turkey, which has been going on for about 20 years. He also spoke about the ongoing projects in the region.
