The Turkish forces bombed Umm al-Kif village in North and East Syria with cluster bombs
TEL TAMR, North and East Syria — The Turkish violations continue in North and East Syria.
On Saturday, the Turkish Army and its proxies launched violent attacks on Umm al-Kif village, west of Tel Tamer in North and East Syria.
“From 4:00 a.m. until 9:00 a.m., more than 150 shells, including internationally prohibited cluster bombs, fell on the vicinity of Tal Tamr, especially on the village of Umm al-Kif, resulting in injuring six Syrian regime members, heavy material losses in civilian property and power outages,” commander of the Tel Tamr Military Council Ahmed Kalash told Hawar News Agency.
Kalash confirmed the readiness of the Tel Tamer Military Council to repel any Turkish attack, and called on the two guarantor powers, the U.S. and Russia, to stop the Turkish violations.
Last September, the Turkish forces bombed the western countryside of Ayn Issa district with cluster bombs, injuring a civilian.
The Turkish forces also used internationally prohibited weapons during their attack on Rish Ayno (Ras al-Ayn) in October 2019.
