Bethnahrin National Council commends the struggle of Bethnahrin Patriotic Union on its founding anniversary

BETHNAHRIN — On the 26th anniversary of founding the Bethnahrin Patriotic Union in Iraq (Huyodo d-Bethnahrin Athroyo, HBA), the presidential body of Bethnahrin National Council (Mawtbo Umthoyo D’Bethnahrin, MUB) issued a statement.

The MUB presidency and members extended their warmest congratulations and best wishes on the 26th anniversary of the HBA founding.

“The HBA was launched in exceptional and sensitive circumstances of the Chaldean-Syriac-Assyrian people in their historical land of Beth Nahrin (Mesopotamia), especially in Iraq. Amid harsh circumstances and limited capabilities, you have struggled, sacrificed, and persevered for many years, through diplomatic, political, military, popular, social and cultural ways,” read the MUB statement.

“You offered martyrs so that the Chaldean-Syriac-Assyrian people could withstand the dictatorial regimes and the brutality of the terrorist groups that sought to kill, uproot and displace them.”

The statement declared that, despite difficulties, the HBA succeeded in bringing the issue of the Chaldean-Syriac-Assyrian people to the regional and international forums.

The MUB saluted the HBA and this blessed national holiday.

“We wish you success, hoping that you will continue your struggle and follow the resistance national struggle approach through decisions that serve the national, political and military strategy of the Chaldean-Syriac-Assyrian people, “the statement added.

“The hopes of restoring the glories of our ancient civilization in Beth Nahrin in Iraq, are entrusted to you, to reach full partnership with other peoples that strive for freedom, democracy, justice and human rights,” the statement concluded.
