Bethnahrin Women’s Union congratulates the Bethnahrain Patriotic Union in Iraq on its founding anniversary

BETH NAHRIN — The Bethnahrin Women’s Union (Huyodo d’Neshe d’Bethnahrin, HNB) congratulated the leadership and members of the Bethnahrin National Union on the 26th anniversary of its founding.

“We congratulate the Chaldean-Syriac-Assyrian people and the HBA, which established its principles and ​​defense out of the situation of our people and their painful history,” read the HNB statement.

The statement added that the HBA members defended the rights of the Chaldean-Syriac-Assyrian people and unified their ranks in the land of Beth Nahrin (Mesopotamia), and this was the HBA’s first goal and priority.

“From the very first day of their struggle, the HBA laid the cornerstone to obtain the rights of the Chaldean-Syriac-Assyrian people, amid the persecutions and massacres that afflicted our people, including the 1915 Sayfo Genocide, displacement of our people in the Nineveh Plains in Iraq, in addition to exclusion, marginalization and considering them as a minority instated of an indigenous people,” the statement added.

The HNB declared that the HBA had an important role in the political representation.

It also conveyed the cause of the Chaldean-Syriac-Assyrian people to regional and international forums, including the Brussels Conference, in which the HBA discussed the mass slaughter that took place in Mosul and the Nineveh Plains by the Islamic State (ISIS), and demanded an autonomy and other national rights for the Chaldean-Syriac-Assyrian people

“The HBA participated in building civilization and defending the homeland and free citizenship. We, as the HNB Women’s Council, congratulate the HBA on its continued struggle for obtaining all our national and patriotic rights,” the HNB statement concluded.
