Preparations underway for 9th Educational Conference for Syriac Study Curricula in Iraq
BAGHDAD — On Monday, iIn preparation for the upcoming 9th Educational Conference for the Syriac Study Curricula in Iraq, Director General of Syriac Studies Imad Salem Jajo held a meeting at the Directorate headquarters.
The meeting was attended by the Assistant Director-General Ann Andrews, Director of the Curriculum and Techniques Department Sharara Youssef, and public officials and cadres of the Directorate.
The discussion focused primarily on the necessary preparations for the conference, intended to be held on 4 August in Bashiqa district in Nineveh Plains.
They agreed to specify the working committees of the conference, including the preparatory committee and the scientific committee responsible for research. They also agreed to publish the announcement and invitation to all teachers and supervisors specialized in the Syriac language and Christian religious education. Academics, researchers, and those interested will also be invited.
The meeting also covered the success of the 10th Festival of Rhetoric and Poetry in Syriac Language which was held by the General Directorate of Syriac Study on Tuesday in Bartella district in Nineveh Plain.
