The Universal Syriac Union Party in Lebanon organizes guard shifts after robberies in Zahle
ZAHLE, Lebanon – After looting property of the state and citizens in Lebanon, especially in Zahle, Lebanon, the Universal Syriac Union Party (USUP) in Lebanon issued a statement.
The USUP, Zahle Branch, stated that thefts of shops, homes, cars and even the Lebanese state sectors have increased.
The statement declared that the USUP no longer believes in the existence of an actual Lebanese state or effective municipality that maintains security or protects citizens.
“Starting from 8th July, daily guard shifts will begin in the Sayeda neighborhood, from the USUP Branch in Zahle. Lebanese youth and men will guard to inform the security authorities of any suspicious movements within their areas,” read the statement.
The statement denounced the government neglect, especially the Zahle Electricity Directorate, which cuts the power from 2:00 a.m. to 6:00 a.m., which facilitates thefts.
