Gabriel Shamoun appointed Deputy Co-Chair of Executive Council of Administration in North and East Syria

NORTH AND EAST SYRIA — Member of the Syriac Union Party (SUP) Gabriel Shamoun was appointed Deputy Co-Chair of the Executive Council of the Democratic Autonomous Administration (DAA) of North and East Syria following the resignation of former deputy Joseph Lahdo.

During a routine meeting of the General Council of North and East Syria, Shamoun was sworn in after he won the majority of the Council’s votes.

Shamoun was nominated by the SUP to assume the new position.
