U.S. Congresswoman to support issues of Chaldean-Syriac-Assyrian people in Iraq

WASHINGTON, D.C. — On Friday, the Executive Director of In Defense of Christians (IDC) Richard Ghazal, accompanied by William Roberts, met with the U.S. Congresswoman Dina Titus, at the U.S. Capitol.

It was announced, via Facebook, that they agreed to work on several issues concerning the Chaldean-Syriac-Assyrian people in Iraq, including adopting a law against the demographic change taking place within lands of the Chaldean-Syriac-Assyrian people in Iraq.

They would also seek to recognize the atrocities committed by the Iraqi Army against the indigenous people of Iraq during Simele and Sorya massacres.

Titus, in turn, promised to present this dossier in the Congress to take the appropriate decision, in the next few days.
