Syriac Military Council of North and East Syria is ready to confront any Turkish attacks on the region

TEL TAMR, DAYRIK, Syria – The fighters of the Syriac Military Council (Mawtbo Fulḥoyo Suryoyo, MFS) pledged to confront the Turkish attacks on North and East Syria, with other military forces affiliated with the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF).

In comments to Hawar News Agency, the MFS commander in Dayrik (Malikiyah) Noah Issa stated that the Turkish attacks usually target all ethnic groups and their places of worship, especially mosques and churches.

“It’s our duty to defend the entire region, including all ethnic groups and their cultures,” said Issa. “We will confront the Turkish violation against citizens, including killing, displacement and bombing, which seek to strike the stability that was achieved after diminishing the Islamic State (ISIS).”

The MFS commander Jack Fouad declared that the MFS would make sacrifices for freedom and dignity of peoples in North and East Syria.

He added that Turkey tries to strike the project of the Democratic Autonomous Administration (DAA) in North and East Syria, and seeks to destabilize security and safety of the region.

Fouad stressed the importance of unity to confront any attack, and stressed the readiness to defend the regions of North and East Syria.
