ZALIN, Syria — On Friday, an explosion was heard in the predominantly Christian Al-Wusta neighborhood of Zalin (Qamishli) in North and East Syria.
An improvised explosive device (IED), placed under a taxi, exploded near Al-Kindi Park in Al-Wusta neighborhood.
Local sources stated that the explosion caused only material damage, and that the taxi belongs to a Syriac-Assyrian person.
Another source told North Press Agency that unknown persons threw a sound bomb at a car parked in Al-Wusta neighborhood.
So far, the security forces have not commented on the incident.
