Olaf Taw Association for Syriac Language training course concludes in North and East Syria

NORTH AND EAST SYRIA — The Education Authority of the Democratic Autonomous Administration (DAA) of North and East Syria held a training course for teachers at the Olaf Taw Association for Syriac Language.

The training course included two parts: teaching Syriac, delivered by Olaf Taw official Jalinos Eissa, and teaching methods, delivered by Siwan Ali from the Qamishli Complex of the DAA Authority.

In comments to our news desk, Eissa stated that the one-week course included teaching Syriac, in addition to reading and writing in Syriac for the fifth grade of primary school.

“The course also included teaching methods and the way teachers prepare for their lessons,” Eissa added.

The course was held in various regions in North and East Syria, including Zalin (Qamishli), Dayrik (Al-Malikiyah), Qabre Hewore (Al-Qahtaniyah), and Hasakah.
