HALLONBERGEN, Sweden — With the beginning of the Swedish election nominations, politicians from different parties are visiting Syriac churches across Sweden with the aim of introducing their political programs and gaining votes.
At the beginning of August, candidates of the Social Democratic Party visited the St. Peter Church in Hallonbergen. Recently, candidates of the Liberal Party visited the same church.
Before the Divine Liturgy on Sunday, the Swedish Liberal Party visited St. Peter’s Church. Among the visiting candidates was Syriac politician Metin Hawsho from Södertälje.
During his sermon, Father Jimmy Denho directed the believers to attend the session with the Liberal Party who will introduce themselves and their platform for the upcoming elections.
