Center for orphaned children inaugurated in Qabre Hewore, North and East Syria
QABRE HEWORE, Iraq — In a press conference, the Local Administration and Environment Authority of the Democratic Autonomous Administration (DAA) of North and East Syria in Gozarto (Jazira) inaugurated the Children’s Life House for orphaned children in Khazna village in Qabre Hewore (Al-Qahtaniyah) district.
Co-Chairs of the DAA Local Administration and Environment Authority Suleiman Arab and Esteer Murad confirmed that the center will soon receive children between 5 to 18 years old. The center was opened in cooperation with the DAA’s Health Authority, Education Authority, and Women’s Authority, the Internal Security Forces (ISF), and Kongra Star. The center will receive 30 children during the first phase of its opening.
The Co-Chairs indicated that children and women are the most vulnerable groups in society, so the DAA has stressed the need to establish such a center to help care for these children and prevent their exploitation.
The Local Administration and Environment Authority considered the establishment of the center as one of the most important and largest projects undertaken this year.
