Bethnahrin Women’s Protection Forces renews commitment to defense of women and freedom on anniversary of its founding

NORTH AND EAST SYRIA — On the anniversary the founding of the Bethnahrin Women’s Protection Force (Ḥaylawotho d’Sutoro d’Neshe d’Beth Nahrin, HSNB), 30 August, SyriacPress media partner Suroyo TV interviewed fighters from one HSNB’s academies.

HSNB member Shamiram stated that the organization is the pride of the Syriac (Aramean–Assyrian–Chaldean) people and the first institution that organized Syriac (Aramean–Assyrian–Chaldean) women into a separate combat force. The HSNB is a necessity so women can defend themselves and their communities alongside men, she said.

Shamiram congratulated the Syriac (Aramean–Assyrian–Chaldean) women, and all women, on this anniversary.

HSNB member Nisha declared that, on this anniversary, she invites all Syriac (Aramean–Assyrian–Chaldean) women to join the ranks of HSNB to be able to defend themselves and their children.

She added that engaging in military training and serving in the HSNB contribute to strengthening the personality of women and empowering them. It also plays an important role in increasing social respect for women in other public aspects of life.
