International Coalition and U.S. State Department inspect Operation Security and Humanity being conducted in Al-Hol Camp in North and East Syria
AL-HOL, Syria — Leaders from the U.S.-led International Coalition and the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) inspected Operation Security and Humanity, a security operation being conducted in Al-Hol Camp in North and East Syria. Deputy Commander-in-Chief of the Joint Task Force — Operation Inherent Resolve Brigadier General Karl Harris, Foreign Policy Advisor to the Commander of U.S. Central Command Nikolas Granger, and prominent SDF leader Mahmoud Barkhdan observed the operation and were briefed on its progress.
The SDF media center released footage showing the leaders talking about the dangers possessed by Islamic State (ISIS) elements inside Al-Hol Camp.
The Coalition delegation affirmed its support for the efforts of the Internal Security Forces (ISF) in eliminating ISIS’s presence in the camp and stressed support for the ongoing security operation, according to the SDF media center.
Operation Security and Humanity has continued for more than a week with the support of the SDF and the Coalition. The final results of the operation will soon be announced.
