Syriac figures of the Bethnahrain National Council meet with German parliamentarians in Berlin

BERLIN — Co-Chair of the Syriac Union Party (SUP) in Syria Nazira Goreya and Co-Chair of the European Syriac Union (ESU) Fehmi Vergili met with German MPs in Berlin, within the framework of foreign relations to convey the issue of the Syriac (Aramean–Assyrian–Chaldean) people and report the Turkish attacks on North and East Syria.

In comments to our new desk, Goreya stated that the meeting was positive.

“We conveyed the issue of the Syriac people and other peoples in North and East Syria. We also discussed the continuous Turkish threats that the region is witnessing,” Goreya stated.

Goreya added that they reached common points of understanding with the German MPs, who pledged to convey the voice and demands of the Syriac people and Democratic Autonomous Administration (DAA) of North and East Syria to the world actors.

Vergili talked about their ongoing visits to world countries to convey the voice of Syriac people and Christians in general in the Middle East.

“We demanded the German government to help provide political and economic support for these peoples to live in peace and safety in their historical lands,” Vergili declared.
