Lebanese Syriac Laila Iskandar wins best player award at West Asian Football Federation Women’s Championship

AMMAN — Lebanese Syriac footballer from Salam Zgharta Football Club Laila Iskandar was crowned best player in the West Asian Football Federation Women’s Championship 2022. Iskandar scored six goals throughout the tournament.

Two Jordanian players also earned awards. Attacker Maysa Jbara won the award for top scorer and Rawan Kassab for best goalkeeper.

The Jordanian team took first place with 9 points, with Lebanon finishing second with 6 points. Syria and Palestine finished with 1 point each.
