First laboratory for analyzing foodstuffs and water opened in North and East Syria

NORTH AND EAST SYRIA — The Democratic Autonomous Administration (DAA) of North and East Syria inaugurated a laboratory for analyzing foodstuffs and water in Hasakah.

Hasakah residents and a DAA delegation led by Co-Chair of the DAA Agriculture and Irrigation Authority Laila Sarukhan participated in the event.

The laboratory is supervised by the Agriculture and Irrigation Authority and will analyze foodstuffs and water to ensure both are of good quality.

The laboratory has been in development for four years and it includes two departments: one for analyzing foodstuffs and one for analyzing water and fertilizers.

The DAA is also preparing to open a laboratory for analyzing human and veterinary drugs and conduct DNA testing, according to the laboratory’s supervisors.
