Syriac Catholic Patriarch Younan receives delegation of Caritas officials from Italy and Lebanon
BEIRUT — Syriac Catholic Patriarch Mor Ignatius Joseph III Younan received a number of officials of Caritas, a confederation of Catholic international humanitarian relief and social services organizations, from Italy at the summer residence of the Patriarchal See at the Patriarchal Monastery of Our Lady of Deliverance in Lebanon.
They discussed the work carried out by the organization in Lebanon.
The delegation included head of the media department for Caritas Italia Chiara Bottari, Director of the Caritas Italia program in the Middle East Danilo Felicia Njeli, in addition to a number of program officials in Lebanon. General Patriarchal Curator and Patriarchate Secretary Monsignor Habib Murad also attended the meeting.
During the meeting, the members of the delegation reviewed the humanitarian and social tasks they perform and the initiatives they take with love towards Lebanon and its people.
The Patriarch welcomed the members of the delegation and spoke about the most prominent works undertaken by the Patriarchate to support believers in these difficult circumstances, stressing the importance of Christian solidarity and readiness for service and support.
