TURKEY: Syriac lawyer Joseph Göksun into the Board of Directors of Merde Bar Association

MERDE (MARDIN), Turkey — The Syriac (Aramean-Chaldean-Assyrian) people have proven their competence in various areas of life, despite the violations and persecutions practiced against them in their land of Beth Nahrin (Mesopotamia).

The Syriac lawyer Joseph Göksun won membership in Board of Directors of Merde (Mardin) Bar Association in Turkey, after he was nominated in the elections for the Ordinary General Assembly of the  Merde (Mardin) Bar Association.

He obtained 206 votes, outperforming 29 other candidates, thus becoming one of the ten members of the Bar Association’s Board of Directors.
