Caynwardo Village Union to hold an event in France

CAYNWARDO, Turkey — The Caynwardo Village Union is preparing a celebration to be held in Paris, on November 26, 2022.

The Union invited the Syriac (Aramean-Chaldean-Assyrian) people to attend the event and support the development of the Syriac village of Caynwardo located in Tur Abdin, Turkey. Caynwardo village was the fortress of resistance during the 1915 Sayfo Genocide.

The event will include Syriac folk songs by the Syriac singers Yousef Saliba and the Arab Idol Winner Yacoub Shaheen, in addition to five musical performances by young women.
