Co-Chair of Gozarto Region and leader of the Shammar Arab tribe in Syria Sheikh Humaydi Daham al-Hadi al-Jarba passed away at the age of 86
NORTH AND EAST SYRIA — On Thursday, Co-Chair of Gozarto (Jazira) Region and leader of the Shammar Arab tribe in Syria Sheikh Humaydi Daham al-Hadi al-Jarba passed away at the age of 86. He passed away in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq (KRI), due to illness.
The Sheikh was born in 1936, in Tel Alo village, north of Hasakah, Syria. In 2014, he was elected as Co-Chair of the Gozarto (Jazira) Region in North and East Syria.
His son, Bandar, leads Al-Sanadid Forces, an armed forces affiliated with the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) of North and East Syria.
The Democratic Autonomous Administration (DAA) of the Gozarto Region mourned Sheikh Al-Hadi Al-Jarba in a condolence telegram published on its official website, in which the Executive Council of Gozarto Region offered condolences to the Shammar and Al-Jarba tribe throughout Syria and the world.
The Syriac Military Council (Mawtbo Fulḥoyo Suryoyo, MFS), via Twitter, extended its sincere condolences to the Shammar tribe and Al-Sanadid Forces.
