International Coalition base in Dayro Zcuro, Syria, targeted by rockets
DAYRO ZCURO, Syria — Several rockets of unknown origin fell on a base belonging to the US-led International Coalition in the area of the Al-Omar Oil Field, also known as the “Green Village”, in Dayro Zcuro (Deir ez-Zor), North and East Syria. US Central Command (CENTCOM) stated that the attack did not result in injuries or even material damage at the base but it undermines the efforts made to achieve security and stability in the region.
CENTCOM spokesperson Joe Buccino stated that, “attacks of this kind place Coalition Forces and the civilian populace at risk and undermine the hard-earned stability and security of North and East Syria.”
Locals reported that there was an intense flight of International Coalition aircraft in the skies of Dayro Zcuro following the attack.
