Syriac Cross calls for end to Turkish attacks on North and East Syria
NORTH AND EAST SYRIA — In comments to Suroyo TV, official of the Syriac Cross Organization for Relief and Development Malek Hanna stated that the recent Turkish attacks on North and East Syria have primarily targeted civilian infrastructure, which will lead to the disruption of humanitarian aid operations and post-Islamic State (ISIS) reconstruction.
Hanna added that the Turkish bombings have led to the further displacement of civilians and thus a return to emergency related projects, which will greatly delay longer-term reconstruction projects to improve stability.
In the name of the Syriac Cross Organization, Hanna called on the international community to stop the Turkish violations and brutal attacks on North and East Syria so that humanitarian organizations can continue to serve the community and complete their projects.
