Syriac Military Council spokesperson Matay Hanna reveals violations during recent Turkish raids on North and East Syria
NORTH AND EAST SYRIA — In comments to Suroyo TV, spokesperson for the Syriac Military Council (Mawtbo Fulḥoyo Suryoyo, MFS) Matay Hanna stated that the Turkish forces recently targeted the vital facilities and infrastructure of the cities, as well as regions of the Syriac (Aramean- Chaldean-Assyrian) people.
“Using the Turkish air force, the Turkish forces targeted civilian areas, including the region of Qabre Hewore (Qahtaniyah), where one of the MFS military headquarters was targeted, as well as oil fields and installations and other service facilities,” Hanna stated, indicating that Tel Tamr was not spared from the Turkish violations.
“The Turkish forces have returned to target the villages of the Syriac (Aramean-Chaldean-Assyrian) people, including Tel Shnan, Tel Jumaa, Tel al-Kayfji and Umm al-Kayf, Tel Tawil and several other villages within the Tel Tamr district and its countryside,” he added.
Hanna declared that the Turkish violations started from Dayrik (Malikiyah) till Kobane, including a children’s hospital, which amount to war crimes.
“Actors in the Syrian affairs must seriously commit to their responsibility and take an effective stance to stop such violations,” he continued.
Hanna stressed that Turkey uses false allegations to launch military operations on the Syrian regions, with the aim of invading new areas in the Syrian territory and reinforce the movement of terrorist organizations.
