Universal Syriac Union Party President Ibrahim Mrad participates in symposium on federalism for Lebanon
BEIRUT — The President of the Universal Syriac Union Party (USUP) in Lebanon Ibrahim Mrad, with a delegation from the USUP Coordination Office, Zahle Branch, participated in a book signing event for the writer Imad Chamoun. The attendees discussed the content of Chamoun’s book, “National Pluralism in Lebanon”.
The event included a speech by Member of Lebanese Parliament George Okais and was attended by Syriac Orthodox Archbishop Mor Theophilus George Saliba and Professor Charles Jabbour.
Mrad also participated in the dialogue and discussion with the attendees at the event.
Commenting on the content of the book and the related discussions, Mrad stated via a Facebook post that only federalism can preserve coexistence and a dignified life in Lebanon.
