Syriac Progressive Youth Union lit Christmas tree in Syriac-Assyrian Martyrs Square in Hasakah, North and East Syria
HASAKAH, Syria — The Syriac Progressive Youth Union lit a Christmas tree in the Syriac-Assyrian Martyrs Square of Nasira neighborhood in Hasakah, North and East Syria.
The event was attended by a large crowd of Syriac (Aramean-Chaldean-Assyrian) people.
The celebration included fireworks and folk songs and dances from the Syriac heritage.
It also included entertainment activities for children, a theatrical show, competitions and gifts distribution.
The event was secured by the Syriac Security Forces (Sutoro).
