Christmas carnival in Dayrik, Santa Claus visits kindergarteners in Hasakah, North and East Syria

NORTH AND EAST SYRIA – Last Friday, as Christmas approached, the Evangelical Christian Union Church in Dayrik (Al-Malikiyah) organized a Christmas carnival that roamed the streets of the city in an atmosphere of joy and happiness, distributing gifts to children.

Bab Noel celebrations were held for the children of the two Ishtar kindergartens in Hasakah, which included various entertainment activities and the distribution of gifts to the children.

The carnival included performances with special songs for the occasion and cars decorated with Christmas decorations. Santa Claus distributed gifts and sweets to young children, with large gatherings of the Syriac (Aramean–Assyrian–Chaldean) people in Dayrik participating.

The Ishtar kindergartens, affiliated to the Syriac Women’s Union (SWU), held a Christmas celebration for the children which included various entertainment activities, cartoon characters, and the distribution of toys and gifts.
