Children dressed in costumes, many as Santa Claus, marched through the streets holding balloons. The Syriac Scouts Band performed along the parade route led by youth dressed as the Virgin Mary, Joseph, and the Three Wisemen.
Earlier, on Wednesday, under the auspices of the Syriac Cross Organization for Relief and Development, the Olaf Taw Association for the Syriac language organized a Christmas celebration.
To the sound of Christmas songs, the teachers of the Olaf Taw Association hosted Santa Claus, who distributed gifts to the children in an atmosphere of joy and happiness.
