Syriac Maronite Patriarch Mor Bechara Boutros al-Raï receives delegations from Women’s Pastoral Office and Maronite League

BETH KERKE, Lebanon ꟷ Syriac Maronite Patriarch Mor Bechara Boutros al-Raï yesterday received two delegations, one from the Women’s Pastoral Office and one from the Maronite League. They discussed the ongoing preparations for the work of the Women’s Synod, and the future plans to be implemented by the Maronite League. The delegations also presented the Patriarch with greetings and congratulations on the occasion of the saint patron day of Saint Maron.

The implementation of the future program of the Women’s Pastorate was reviewed, along with all related statistics associated with the work of diocesan committees at the external relations level and all social and ecclesiastical levels.

Patriarch al-Raï also met with a delegation from the Maronite League headed by its President Khalil Karam, who is also the Permanent Delegate of Lebanon to UNESCO in Paris, accompanied by the Executive Council and the Expansion Committee. After congratulating on Saint Maron patron day, member of the Executive Council and Rapporteur of the Spreading Committee, Yuhaina Munir, reviewed the details of the new electronic application developed by the Maronite League for smart phones, which will be officially launched through a press conference to be announced later.

The patriarch was also informed of the future plans of the Maronite League, with the aim of restoring all the bridges of communication that have witnessed great noise due to the circumstances that Lebanon faced over the past years.
