The Solidarity Table for Tur Abdin calls on all Syriac people to work together and show great solidarity in providing aid to the earthquake disaster area

TUR ABDIN, Turkey — The Solidarity Table for Tur Abdin consisting of four Syriac civil organizations of the Syriac people in Europe issued a statement of solidarity with the victims of the earthquake in Turkey and Syria, and extended condolences to the families of the victims of the devastating natural disaster.

The European Syriac Union, Dachverband der Entwicklungsvereine Turabdin (Germany), Turabdin Föreningamas Forbund (Sweden), and the Zentralverband der Assyrischen Vereinigungen in Deutschland und Europäischen Sektionen (Germany) expressed their deep sorrow for the many human casualties, the massive material losses, and the damage to religious and historical buildings that came with the earthquake.

The Solidarity Table for Tur Abdin called on all institutions of the Syriac people, and especially the youth, to act together and show great solidarity in providing relief and aid to the disaster area. It also called on  the international community to support relief efforts to come to the help of the victims in Syria and Turkey and alleviate their pain.
