Foreign Relations Commission of North and East Syria transfers custody of ISIS-affiliated woman and two children to Slovak delegation
ZALIN, Syria — On Sunday, the Foreign Relations Commission of the Democratic Autonomous Administration (DAA) of North and East Syria transferred custody of a woman and two children from families of the Islamic State (ISIS) to a delegation from the government of Slovakia.
Present at the handover was Foreign Relations Commission Deputy Co-Chair Rubel Bahho, member of the Commission’s Administrative Authority Khaled Ibrahim, and member of the Public Relations Office of the People’s Defense Units (Yekîneyên Parastina Gel, YPG) Lana Hassan.
The Slovak delegation was headed by Director of the Consular Department of the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs of the Slovak Republic Igor Pokojný.
In comments to Suroyo FM, Deputy Co-Chair Bahho said they discussed the current situation in North and East Syria and the disastrous earthquake that has devastated large parts of Turkey and Syria.
They also discussed the DAA efforts to help the areas affected by the earthquake and the dossier of ISIS families who are still in camps and prisons in North and East Syria, he said.
