Sutoro Security Forces announce martyrdom of member Mounir Gawriye
BETH ZALIN (QAMISHLI), Syria — On Wednesday, the Sutoro Security Forces announced the death of their member Mounir Gawriye, nom de guerre “Luay”.
According to the statement of the Sutoro General Command, martyr Mounir Gawriye joined the ranks of the Syriac security forces in 2015 and participated in several anti-terrorism operations in the areas of North and East Syria.
The Sutoro General Command praised martyrdom as one of the most honorable human gifts to humanity. Throughout the ages, it has represented sacrifice, redemption and renunciation for the sake of the motherland and human existence. Martyrdom paves the way to human freedom and dignity.
In their statement, the Sutoro General Command promised martyr Luay to follow his path of martyrdom and the path of all martyrs in the Syriac national struggle.
Martyr Mounir Gawriye was born in 1964. He leaves behind his wife Maryam Hanna and his two sons Georgis and Elias.
