Syriac women Najah Kan’o brutally murdered in her home in Hasakah, North and East Syria 

HASAKAH, Syria — On Saturday, the body of a 57-year-old Syriac woman was discovered killed in her home was discovered in Hasakah, North and East Syria.

Najah Ishaq Kan’o was found handcuffed in the house she rented near Al-Qudah Street in an area of the city under the control of the Syrian regime.

Kan’o had reportedly been dead for 24 hours before she was found.

Al-Khabar TV website, quoting forensic doctor Muhammad Saeed Shalash, reported that Kan’o was killed with a sharp object. The scene was described as intensely brutal. Kan’o’s skull was completely smashed and her face unrecognizable.

It is unclear what the motivation for the murder is.

The funeral service was held on Saturday in the Syriac Orthodox Virgin Mary Church in the Nasirah neighborhood.
