Syriac Union Party in Syria holds its annual conference in Qabre Hewore, North and East Syria 

QABRE HEWORE, Syria — The Syriac Union Party (SUP) in Syria held its annual conference on friday at it’s the headquarters of its Qabre Hewore branch in North and East Syria. The conference was a significant event, attended by SUP Co-Chairs Sanharib Barsom and Nazira Goreya, as well as member of SUP Executive Body Afram Ishak, Heads of SUP branches in Beth Zalin (Qamishli), Dayrik (Malikiyah), Hasakah, and Qabre Hewore (Qahtaniyah), SUP Executive Bodies, and members of SUP Sub-Councils.

The conference started with a minute of silence to honor martyrs, followed by reading the annual reports of SUP’s four branches. Reports on SUP’s financial budget and executive committee were also presented, and the annual political analysis was read. Reports were discussed, and the SUP agenda for 2024 was formulated.

Members of the party actively engaged in discussing their opinions and recommendations on SUP activities and ways of developing them. These discussions provide a unique opportunity for the party to reflect on its past achievements, identify areas for improvement, and shape its future course of action.

Overall, the conference was a success, providing a platform for SUP members to come together and engage in meaningful discussions on critical issues facing their community. It is hoped that the outcomes of the conference will enable the party to develop more effective strategies to address these issues and continue to work towards the betterment of the Syriac (Aramean–Assyrian–Chaldean) community.
