WASHIGNTON, D.C. — Nadine Maenza, President of the International Religious Freedom Secretariat and former Chair of the US Commission on International Religious Freedom (USCIRF), recently visited North and East Syria, demonstrating her continued interest in issues concerning the Syriac (Aramean–Assyrian–Chaldean) people. During her visit, she met with representatives of institutions and parties of the Bethnahrain National Council (Mawtbo Umthoyo D’Bethnahrin, MUB).
