Syriac officials in Syria extend Easter congratulations
NORTH AND EAST SYRIA — On Easter according to the Julian calendar, Co-Chair of the Syriac Union Party (SUP) in Syria Sanharib Barsom congratulated Syriac people in the world.
In comments to our news desk, Barsom stated that he hopes that this feast would bring goodness and peace for Syria, including a political solution.
He hoped that the Syriac (Aramean-Chaldean-Assyrian) people would obtain their full rights, in coexistence with other peoples, which is one of the SUP goals that it has been working on since its establishment.
Barsom extended his congratulations to all the security and military forces, as well as families of the martyrs who sacrificed their lives to protect the Syriac people and their sanctities to live in dignity on their historical land.
Barsom called on the Syriac people in the diaspora to support their people and homeland of Beth Nahrin (Mesopotamia)
The Deputy Co-Chair of the Executive Council of the Democratic Autonomous Administration (DAA) of North and East Syria Gabriel Shamoun also extended his congratulations to all peoples who celebrate Easter according to the Julian calendar.
Shamoun hoped that the Syriac (Aramean-Chaldean-Assyrian) people in Syria would live in democracy, freedom and peace.
