On Easter, Syriac Union Party in Syria receives congratulatory delegations in Hasakah

HASAKAH, Syria — On Monday, representatives of the Assyrian Democratic Party (ADP) and the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria (AANES) visited the headquarters of the Syriac Union Party (SUP) in Hasakah on Monday to celebrate Easter and discuss political developments in the region.

During the visit, the delegations spoke about the significance of Easter and its rituals, while emphasizing the importance of coexistence and achieving the national rights of the Syriac (Aramean–Assyrian–Chaldean) people. They also discussed the ongoing efforts towards a political solution in Syria and the need for continuous consultation.

Although not a part of the visiting delegation, the Assyrian Democratic Organization (ADO) extended Easter congratulations to the SUP headquarters in Hasakah, stressing the importance of coexistence and democracy for securing the national rights of the Syriac (Aramean–Assyrian–Chaldean) people in Beth Nahrin (Mesopotamia) and beyond.

Additionally, the SUP Branch in Hasakah received the Committee of Displaced People of Rish Ayno (Ras al-Ayn), who offered Easter congratulations to the Syriac (Aramean–Assyrian–Chaldean) people. The visits demonstrated a commitment to promoting peaceful coexistence and addressing the challenges facing the Syriac (Aramean–Assyrian–Chaldean) community and those displaced by the conflict in Syria and the Turkish invasions of northern Syria.
