Dozens of political parties in North and East Syrian unite to support dialogue-based initiative to end Syrian crisis

NORTH AND EAST SYRIA — Thirty-two political parties in North and East Syria, including the Syriac Union Party (SUP) and Assyrian Democratic Party (ADP), have issued a joint statement endorsing the initiative of the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria (AANES) to resolve the Syrian crisis. The parties emphasized their belief in pluralism and rejected the Turkish government’s efforts to promote separation.

According to the statement, the parties support a dialogue-based approach to addressing outstanding issues with various actors in Syria. They also called for the backing of local, regional, and international initiatives, specifically citing the first statement of the Geneva meeting on Syria, Security Council Resolution no. 2254, and all relevant international resolutions.

The parties’ endorsement of the AANES initiative signals a united front in seeking a political solution to the Syrian crisis. By rejecting the Turkish government’s divisive tactics, the parties are emphasizing the importance of dialogue and cooperation in resolving conflicts.

“We renew our desire and seriousness to reach a political solution to the Syrian crisis, especially since we have presented initiatives and more than one road map to solve the crisis,” read the statement. “We believe that the political solution is the best solution to end the crisis.”
