Syriac Union Party expands presence with new branch in Tel Tamr, North and East Syria
TEL TAMR, Syria — On Sunday morning, the Syriac Union Party (SUP) marked a significant milestone as they inaugurated a new SUP branch in the Khabur River Valley town of Tel Tamr, North and East Syria.
The opening ceremony commenced at 10:00 and saw the participation of representatives national, civil, and military institutions, including the Bethnahrain National Council (Mawtbo Umthoyo D’Bethnahrin, MUB) and representatives from the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria (AANES) in Tel Tamr.
A large gathering of the Syriac (Aramean–Assyrian–Chaldean) people from Tel Tamr, Hasakah, and Zalin (Qamishli) attended, alongside several media outlets who covered the event.

Throughout the day, guests were warmly welcomed by SUP members at the newly established branch building, located adjacent to the church. Speaking to our news desk, Simon Daoud, a member of the SUP Hasakah Branch, emphasized the party’s commitment to the Syriac (Aramean–Assyrian–Chaldean) people’s cause and their aim to stay connected with the public by establishing branches and headquarters in various locations. Daoud further explained that the opening of the SUP’s new branch in Tel Tamr would enable them to effectively address the concerns and challenges faced by the Syriac (Aramean–Assyrian–Chaldean) community in Rish Ayno (Ras al-Ain) and Tel Tamr.
