Syriac Cross and affiliates: “We thank Noura Hanna for her commitment and love. To her husband and children, we extend our deepest condolences”

On Friday, the Syriac Cross for Relief and Development and its affiliates released a public condolence on the recent passing of Syriac activist and politician Noura Hanna.

We bid farewell to a generous, impactful personality whose benevolence will remain unforgotten.

Deeply touched by the news that Noura Hanna, the mother of our friend and representative in Syria, Malek Hanna, passed away on May 23, 2023, we would like to convey our sincere sympathy and deep condolences.

Noura Hanna was known for her extensive dedication. She was a strong woman who had instilled in her children a love for their homeland. She always motivated her children to work for a life of freedom in their homeland.

Noura Hanna was active in many different organizations and institutions and contributed greatly to strengthening the Syriac people in Syria. Among others, she co-founded the Syriac Women Union in Syria and represented them in the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria — AANES.

Dear Noura, your humanity, helpfulness and personality will always impress us and be an example for us. You left behind a strong family, which will always remember you and your aspirations.

We thank Noura Hanna for her commitment and love. To her husband and children, we extend our deepest condolences.
