Co-Chair of Local Administrations and Environment Authority Ilham Matle: The Democratic Autonomous Administration will depend on itself, not on the Turkish elections

NORTH AND EAST SYRIA —  In comments to our news desk, Co-Chair of the Local Administrations and Environment Authority in the Democratic Autonomous Administration (DAA) of North and East Syria Ilham Matle declared that the current Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan had a major role in destroying the infrastructure in North and East Syria, indicating that he committed many encroachments in the region.

Matle stated that the Turkish elections are witnessing great competition, and many alliances are formed by the two Turkish candidates, Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu.

Matle also warned that Erdoğan’s winning in the elections would pose great dangers to the regions of North and East Syria. She pointed out that he would activate his Ottoman role in these areas, and carry out his aggression on the Syrian-Turkish border, at a depth of 30 km.

“The DAA will rely on itself, not on the Turkish elections,” Matle concluded.
