Bethnahrin Patriotic Union in Iraq congratulates Assyrian Democratic Movement on new leadership

ANKAWA, Iraq — The Bethnahrin Patriotic Union in Iraq (Huyodo Bethnahrin Athroyo, HBA) visited the headquarters of the Assyrian Democratic Movement in Ankawa to extend congratulations on its new leadership elected after the Movement’s general conference in Alqosh.

The visiting delegation included the HBA head Youssef Yaqoub Matti and his deputy and former MP Joseph Sliwa.

The delegation was received by the leadership and members of the Assyrian Democratic Movement at its headquarters in Ankawa.

Matti stressed the necessity of unifying the word and joint work among all the political parties of the Chaldean-Syriac-Assyrian people, especially amid the harsh circumstances of the land of its ancestors, Beth Nahrin (Mesopotamia).

The visiting delegation wished the new leadership of the Assyrian Democratic Movement, success prosperous future and struggle for the causes of Chaldean-Syriac-Assyrian people.
