Democratic Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria calls to adhere to homeland; Foreign Relations Department calls to continue terrorism fighting
NORTH AND EAST SYRIA — The Democratic Autonomous Administration (DAA) of North and East Syria issued a statement, after sinking a boat off the Algerian coast carrying Syrian immigrants. The DAA confirmed that dealing with the migration dossier is one of the main issues on its agenda.
“Leaving the homeland is not the solution,” the DAA stated, calling on citizens to be careful about illegal migration and not to be drawn into human traffickers who want to trade in their pain.
The DAA stressed the need to adhere to the homeland and contribute to building a better future.
In other news, the Foreign Relations Department of the DAA of North and East Syria issued an appeal to the conference of the U.S.-led International Coalition to Combat Terrorism, held in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. It stressed the need to continue combating terrorism on a larger scale, politically, economically and judicially, to achieve a sustainable defeat of the Islamic State (ISIS).
The appeal also touched on the dossier of ISIS detainees in the DAA prisons. They represent a great burden, and they are the responsibility of the international community. It is necessary to try them in fair courts in the areas where they committed their crimes. .
The appeal added that the issue of thousands of ISIS children and women is still unsolved. A long-term solution must be found for them, and security must be ensured in the camps until the necessary support and rehabilitation can be provided for them.
