Political parties of Chaldean-Syriac-Assyrian people in Iraq meet to unify stances and joint action
ERBIL — As part of their coordination meetings between political parties of Chaldean-Syriac-Assyrian people’s in Iraq, the Bethnahrin Patriotic Union in Iraq (Huyodo Bethnahrin Athroyo, HBA) received a delegation from Abnaa al-Nahrain Party, headed by Bassim Ballo, the party’s head.
In comments to our news desk, Ballo stated that the meeting was a continuation of the previous discussions between the five parties: Assyrian Patriotic Party, the Bethnahrain Patriotic Union (Huyodo d-Bethnahrin Athroyo), Abnaa al-Nahrain, the Assyrian Democratic Movement (Zowaa), and the Chaldean Syriac Assyrian Popular Council.
Ballo added that the meetings aim at unifying common stances and joint action between these parties for the upcoming stages in several fields and upcoming political events in the country.
“During the meeting, the issues of provincial council elections and demographic change taking place in areas of presence of the Chaldean-Syriac-Assyrian people were also discussed,” he declared.
Ballo stated that these discussions will be completed to conclude a common vision between these parties.
