Tensions mount in Dayro Zcuro as Iranian militias and Syrian regime fortify positions amidst fear of clash with Syrian Democratic Forces and US-led International Coalition
DAYRO ZCURO, Syria — Amid escalating tensions and an increased Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) presence, Iranian militias and Syrian regime forces reinforce positions in anticipation of potential clashes.
In a bid to bolster their military presence, Iranian militias have mobilized while Syrian regime forces have deployed additional reinforcements to Mayadin in the eastern countryside of Dayro Zcuro (Deir ez-Zor).
Logistical equipment from Mayadin has been transported via large trucks to fortify Syrian regime positions along the point of contact with the SDF.
Reports from UK-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR) highlight that a number of civilians have fled areas under the control of Iranian militias in Mayadin seeking refuge in Daramsuq (Damascus) from possibly clashes.
